How to troubleshoot the HP Printer issue of double printing on Windows 10?

Number of copies should change in settings:

• First select start then followed by selecting Control Panel

• In Control Panel select Hardware and Sound

• Click Devices and Printers

• Then select the Printer properties

• Now select the number of copies. If you see the settings as 2 then you need to change the setting to 1. After that, you need to check if the problem is sorted.

Uncheck the option of bidirectional support:

• First, go to start, then Control Panel followed by selecting Hardware and Sound

• Now select the Devices and Printers

• Then you need to right click on HP icon

• Now you need to select the printer server properties where you will get the option appears Ports and you have to select that

• Now you can uncheck the option of Enable bidirectional support

• At last click on Apply

• Next, you can click on Windows update and then in the name of the printer in the printer pane, then click and check if you find the name in the list. If you don’t find it then click on next again

• You need to select Add a printer by using TCP/IP. After that, you can click on Next

• From the Device type drop-down, you have to select Autodetect

• Next, you need to type your device IP address and click on next

• Now you need to install the printer driver, you have to install till the computer establishes a connection with the printer and then click at the next button

Reset the number of copies from the document

To control the number of copies that you want of your printing documents, you have to go through a process which depends on the document you are using. The process is as follows

For Word Document:

• For word documents, you have to click at File

• Select the print option

• After that, select the copies

• Then you can adjust the number of copies

PDF Document:

• If you want to print PDF document then go to print PDF document

• Click at the printer icon and then click at the Copies

• Now you can adjust the number of copies

Web page:

• If you want to print from a web page

• You need to click at the File first

• Select print and the number of copies
