Four pointers to improve Brother Printer Experience

Does your brother printer takes a lot of time to print or is it suffering from old age? Here are 4 quick tips to improve your Brother Printing experiences. Please note that the Paper log-jam issue in brother printer will be discussed separately in our next blog. You can also take help from Brother Printer Support team to get your brother printer related queries solved.

Problem 1: Printing takes far too long

Slow print time is caused by a variety of issues like a very high-resolution setting, choice of drivers or a memory issue.

Remedy:

High-resolution settings can significantly lower down your print-time, as it takes a lot of time to process your images. Select the standard or normal mode for official documents or pages. For presentations, switch to a medium-quality setting or normal mode.

Also, one-sided printing takes considerably lesser time even though it uses more pages. So it is advised to use one-sided printing rather than both sides.

You can also upgrade your drivers. For example, PCL is good for fast office printing and PostScript is good for graphics-intensive applications and industries.

Problem 2: Smudge Marks

Poor image quality or faded or stray type marks makes good documents look sloppy and unprofessional.

Remedy:

·         Make sure you have the correct paper or media selected in your brother printer driver.

·         Make sure the paper loaded in the tray matches the type selected in the brother printer driver.

·         Check the fuser, but with caution. It can get really hot.

·         Check the toner cartridges, the imaging unit(s) and the fuser for damage by referring to the Brother Printer User Guide.

·         Print several blank pages to remove smudge marks. It will eventually fade away.

Problem 3: My Brother printer refuses to print.

It just doesn’t print!

Remedy:

First, make sure your Printer is switched ON. Make sure all the wires and cables are secure. Check if your printer is selected to default, Go to control panel, click on Devices or printers and select ‘Set as default printer’.

Make sure the brother printer driver is installed on the computer. Printer driver has a two-way communication feature which will tell you what are the causes of your issue, via desktop or driver notifications.

More often than not, a simple restart will solve your issue. Restart your software application. If that doesn’t work, restart your computer. At last turn off your brother printer for a few minutes before switching it back on.

Problem 4: Outdated technology

You cannot stay loyal to your brother printer forever. Someday, it will be outdated. In today’s technological era, there are a lot of updates coming up year after year which might make your printer outdated even-though it’s just 5-6 years old. Brother Printer updates their software, hardware, drivers nearly every year these days so sooner or later your brother printer is bound to get outdated and can no longer be updated.

Remedy:

Even though it’s hard, you need to accept the fact that it is time to replace, not only the hardware and software but the whole printer. Do contact the Brother Printer Support who can advise you for standard replacement or better, an exchange offer. Staying updated will help you enjoy the modern benefits and customization of printing technology and keeping your device down to low maintenance and problem-free.
